  • Class I Extraction case With Maxillary Expander - This is a case of very severe crowding and a very narrow upper jaw which has caused a crossbite where the upper back teeth bite inside of the lower teeth. The crowding in this case was corrected by extraction of four first bicuspid teeth and the crossbite was corrected by rapid maxillary expansion. Thomas after
  • Severe Class II Open Bite - Thirty-six months of treatment with extraction of four first molars and headgear. Currently, this case would have orthognathic surgery recommended. Rose after
  • Adult Patient with Missing Teeth and Periodontal Disease - Treated in 16 months with braces and prosthetics to replace missing teeth. after
  • Class II With Asymmetry - Treated with extraction of two upper first bicuspids and the lower right first bicuspid. after
  • Class II deep bite- Treated without extractions. after
  • Early Treatment for Severe Overbite - Two phases of treatment were necessary and the combined treatment time with braces was 37 months. Two phases of treatment are very effective, but not as efficient as one phase due to the longer time in braces and higher cost. This may be justified if the patient is very self conscious at 8 - 9 years old. after
  • Treatment of Overbite with Herbst Appliance - An appliance which is becoming more commonly used to correct overbites caused by jaw growth problems, the Herbst appliance is not new, having been used extensively in Europe for many years. This appliance is attached firmly to the upper and lower molars with a mechanism to cause the lower jaw to protrude. After being held in this forward position for 9 - 12 months, the over bite is corrected in a growing individual by the movement of teeth and alteration of the jaw growth. after
